Job Description

At FRAME we are working with a leading architectural, top AJ100 practice to bring on board an experienced Digital Design Application Specialist to join their team and provide technical support to the studio. This is a non-project role. This is a role where you will join an internal team of 10, that provides technical support to architects, supporting their delivery, using relevant design tools.

This role does not involve project management or delivery, but instead focuses on supporting topics such as BIM strategy, documentation, and providing guidance on digital design and tools and upskilling Architects.

Responsibilities
  • Support and Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team, offering advice, guidance, support, training, and assistance to architects using digital design tools. The role involves problem-solving and helping architects overcome software/technical challenges.
  • Expertise in Technology: Be an expert in the latest technology trends, particularly in Revit and Rhino, and be comfortable with training others. Stay updated with new tools and advancements, particularly those emerging from smaller startups.
  • Ideal candidates will have 3+ years experience delivering/supporting complicated architectural projects using revit, navisworks, bentley microstation, rhino. Desired knowledge of Dynamo, sketchup, 3dsmax, autocad, solibri and archicad.
  • Problem Solving and R&D: Enjoy solving complex problems and engaging in research and development. Experiment with and implement new technologies to keep the company at the forefront of digital design.
  • No Administrative Responsibilities: The role does not involve time sheets or responsibility for project deadlines. It is about being a central support resource when the team faces technical challenges.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience: Must have experience with complex projects and a strong background in architecture, particularly with Revit and Rhino.
  • Skill Set: Should have a passion for technology, R&D, and problem-solving, rather than a traditional BIM strategy role.
  • Compatibility: Must be a good communicator and comfortable with training and supporting other architects.
  • Mindset: Should be interested in the software and technology side of architecture, not on a BIM role or an Architectural position.

We are looking for someone with a background similar to the departing team member: experience in architecture, past experience in project delivery, and technology problem-solving. If you have a passion for R&D, love tinkering with technology, and enjoy helping others upskill, we encourage you to apply.
This is not suitable for candidates primarily seeking a BIM strategy role, as we are specifically looking for technology enthusiasts who are keen on research and development.

If this sounds like you please apply today with a CV and Portfolio and I will be in touch to discuss this further.
