About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a Senior Designer with a minimum of 7 years' experience in all aspects of design and project management, particularly in high-end F&B, spas, and large-scale hotel developments. The successful candidate will have a passion for interior architecture and design, coupled with expertise in FF&E. Working closely with the Associates and Design Studio Manager, the Senior Designer will be responsible for delivering various aspects of specific projects, from concept to completion, while overseeing junior team members to ensure high-quality design output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the creative vision for projects alongside the project team.
  • Prepare and develop drawings, 3D models, sketches, material & mood boards, specifications, and FF&E documentation to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate the internal design team assigned to the project.
  • Liaise with external design teams and associated organizations.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of designs in compliance with project requirements.
  • Proactively engage in internal team meetings and creative reviews.
Role Responsibilities:

Design Studio:
  • Provide experienced technical and design direction.
  • Foster collaborative relationships within the team.
  • Oversee workflow and deliverables for Mid-weights and Junior Designers.
  • Confidently engage with clients and external teams.
  • Stay updated on new technologies that enhance the design process.
  • Actively contribute to the day-to-day running of the studio.
  • Encourage knowledge-sharing and mentor Junior Designers.
  • Assist in the induction of new team members.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and social/environmental issues.
Processes and Procedures:
  • Contribute to design decisions and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain open communication with seniors regarding progress and development.
  • Offer solutions if work is at risk of not meeting deadlines.
  • Rationalize design to meet project cost targets while maintaining integrity.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in all work produced.
  • Possess proficiency in key design/3D modelling tools.
Technology:
  • High-level proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong free-hand sketching skills.
  • Experience working in Revit is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of 3D Max, Enscape/Twinmotion is highly valued.

Qualifications:
  • Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture.
  • Extensive experience in Interior Architecture/Design, preferably in high-end large-scale projects.
