Overview of the Role
The Senior Designer Project Manager position offers a unique opportunity to represent the company to clients and external networks while contributing to the design development of projects. They are seeking candidates with a minimum of 6 years' experience in all facets of design and design project management, particularly in high-end F&B, spas, and large-scale hotel developments. A deep passion for and knowledge of interior architecture, design, furniture, and product design is essential.
Responsibilities
Design Creative Management
- Collaborate with the project team to develop the creative vision for projects.
- Conduct design research, particularly during concept development.
- Develop project materiality alongside the FF&E team.
- Ensure adherence to the company's stylistic design standards throughout all project stages.
- Support project development from conception to completion, adhering to company standard phases and documentation.
- Liaise directly with clients, operators, consultants, and contractors to ensure project excellence.
- Attend client presentations as needed.
- Efficiently manage workload and delegate tasks to designers to ensure team productivity.
- Coordinate with the FF&E team on all project aspects.
- Assist in drafting pitch documents under the guidance of Directors and Associates.
- Serve as a representative of the company to clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Designers on client interactions.
- Assist in communicating and managing the design development process with clients.
- Contribute to design and construction documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain the standard for all project management documentation.
- Provide technical and design direction.
- Mentor Designers and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
- Essential: Revit, Rhino, and BIM experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of SketchUp.
- Strong free-hand sketching skills.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD.
