We are looking for an experienced Principal Designer to join our client's thriving London studio. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile Residential projects, playing a key role in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and CDM requirements. What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Leading as Principal Designer on a variety of exciting residential projects.
  • Offering expert advice and support on CDM and Building Regulations during all project stages – from design to delivery.
  • Playing an active part in managing health and safety across the design phase, ensuring adherence to the latest regulations.
  • Collaborating with multi-skilled teams to plan, monitor, and manage the design and delivery processes.
  • Helping to refine and improve office systems to ensure seamless compliance with statutory regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related legislation.
  • Ideally qualified and experienced as a Building Control Inspector, Surveyor, Advisor, or Manager.
  • A solid background in architecture, design management, or surveying with strong construction industry experience (minimum 5 years).
  • In-depth understanding of CDM 2015 and associated regulations, with proven experience delivering Principal Designer services in the residential and commercial sectors.
  • Professional qualifications such as CABE, RIBA, MCIAT, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Bonus points if you hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or are an IMaPs member.
  • You’re a natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
