Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Landscape Architect to join their dynamic Masterplanning team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape design, urban design, and large-scale landscape-led masterplanning projects. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can lead projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to developing sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the landscape architectural design components of large-scale masterplanning projects, from concept through to completion.
  • Collaborate with architects, urban designers, and planners to develop integrated design solutions.
  • Provide strategic input on landscape architecture to shape the public realm and open space within masterplans.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring the highest level of service and communication throughout project life cycles.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the landscape architecture team.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and design documentation to communicate landscape concepts and plans to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, sustainability practices, and innovations in landscape architecture.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (or equivalent qualification).
  • Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
  • Significant experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on masterplanning and public realm design, wayfinding, and signage.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong technical proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modelling tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
  • Excellent knowledge of UK planning policies, sustainability practices, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong design and graphical presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with BIM processes and workflows.
  • Knowledge of ecology, green infrastructure, and biodiversity principles in landscape design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and stakeholder interaction.
  • Experience with net zero targets and sustainability.
  • Middle East and international project experience.
