FRAME are currently working with our client in order to build a Southern based team which works on developmental transport planning. This multi-disciplinary Transport Planning, Highway Design and Civil Engineering Consultancy combine a personal approach with excellence in commercial awareness and an in-depth knowledge of current policy, practice and legislation.

Due to a number of large project wins in the south they are now looking at growing there transport team at all levels from graduate - principal. Qualifications, Skills & Experience

-Professional qualification or relevant degree
-Membership of professional organisation
-Knowledge of national design guidance
-Experience in managing/training junior members of staff
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to communicate effectively and politely
-High level of proficiency in Microsoft packages
-Ability to prioritise workload and delegate tasks
-Ability to work effectively with other staff and as part of a team
-Ability to work on own initiative
-Experience of working with computer-based design & modelling packages

Role Specific

-Write, check and approve technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and Technical Notes.
-Approve technical drawings where appropriate
-Experience in preparing appeal documentation including Statement of Case, Statement of Common Ground and Proof of Evidence
-Attendance as expert witness at appeal hearings and/or public inquiries
-Project manage schemes, including budget and time management
-Client liaison and management
-Mentor Graduate Transport Planners
-Attend, and contribute towards, project/design team meetings
-Prepare and approve fee proposals
-Dissemination of work through detailed understanding of staff abilities and
-Liaise with local authority officers
-Attend public consultation events
-Engage in, and identify, Business Development opportunities
-Support the growth of the business through delivery of KPIs
-Assist in the recruitment to Senior Transport Planner and below


-Be active and proficient at marketing the company to all Clients either face to face, via email or over the phone
-Manage colleagues in planning and delivering marketing initiatives to agreed
costs and programmes
-Understand the company services, market sectors, specialisms, procedures and processes
-Manage colleagues with marketing the business, including Client satisfaction and maintenance of quality in respect of all business development activity


-Organising events including preparation of attendance lists
-Represent the company at external meetings / events with Clients
-Assist in building effective relationships with Clients
-Have detailed knowledge of the market sectors within which the company operates or aspires to operate
-Support the development of all company promotional media
-Assist in establishing new client contacts and developing existing business relationships

Salary is dependant on current experience but can be expected to be competitive with the addition of a market leading package.
